1. The We Cook Service

We Cook is a technology service that enables users to collect, store, organize, search, manage, and interact with recipe-related information.

We Cook provides tools that allow users to enter content manually or, for convenience, use automated features that assist in extracting and structuring information from content or sources selected by the user.

These automated features are provided as technological shortcuts. They are intended to assist users in performing actions that they could otherwise perform manually, such as copying recipe information into their personal recipe collection.

The availability of an import, extraction, upload, or automated processing feature does not mean that We Cook owns, licenses, endorses, publishes, or authorizes the use of the content processed through that feature.

We Cook may also integrate with third-party services, including AI assistants such as ChatGPT.

Features may change as the service evolves.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through your account.

You must provide accurate information when required and must not use another person's account without authorization.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact We Cook through the support page.

3. Your Content and Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content that you create, enter, submit, upload, import, store, modify, or otherwise choose to process through We Cook.

This includes recipes, text, instructions, ingredients, images, photographs, source information, and other materials associated with your account.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of such content through We Cook complies with applicable law and does not infringe the rights of third parties.

You must have any rights, permissions, licenses, or other authorization required for your use of content through We Cook.

You must not use We Cook to copy, import, upload, store, reproduce, modify, or otherwise use content in a manner that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, intellectual property, or other rights of any third party.

We Cook does not acquire ownership of your content merely because you store or process it using the service.

You grant We Cook only the limited rights necessary to host, store, process, transmit, display, transform, and otherwise handle your content for the purpose of providing the service and performing the actions you request.

4. Recipe Import and Automated Extraction

We Cook may allow you to provide the URL of a webpage or other source and use automated technology to extract and structure recipe information from that source.

This functionality is provided solely as a convenience to assist you in adding information to your personal recipe collection.

The import functionality does not grant you any right to copy, reproduce, store, modify, or otherwise use content from the source.

You are solely responsible for selecting the source and for determining whether you are permitted to import and use its content.

The fact that We Cook is technically capable of accessing, extracting, processing, or structuring information from a source does not constitute a representation that the content is free to use or that your use of it is authorized.

Importing information through We Cook should therefore be treated in the same way as manually entering or copying that information into your account: responsibility for the content selected and its use remains with you.

Automated extraction may be incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrectly interpret the original source. You are responsible for reviewing imported information before saving, relying on, or using it.

5. Source Information

We Cook may store or display information identifying a source associated with a recipe, such as a source name or URL.

Source information is provided for reference and convenience.

It may originate from automated extraction or information supplied or subsequently modified by the user.

We Cook does not independently verify the accuracy, ownership, authorship, licensing status, or completeness of source information.

Displaying a source name or URL does not mean that We Cook endorses the source, has obtained permission from the source, or represents that the associated content may lawfully be copied or used.

6. User-Uploaded Images

Images stored in We Cook are uploaded or otherwise provided by the user.

We Cook provides storage and display functionality for those files but does not independently determine whether the user owns or has permission to use an uploaded image.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to upload, store, and use images through We Cook.

You must not upload or store images that infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other rights of a third party.

7. Third-Party Integrations

We Cook may integrate with third-party services such as ChatGPT.

When you connect We Cook to a third-party service, actions requested through that service may result in information being retrieved from or changes being made to your We Cook account.

You are responsible for reviewing the actions you request or authorize through third-party services.

Your use of a third-party service is also governed by that provider's own terms and privacy practices.

We Cook does not control and is not responsible for the operation, availability, content, outputs, security, or independent behavior of third-party services.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use We Cook to:

We Cook may restrict access to or remove content, or suspend or terminate access to the service, when reasonably necessary to address suspected infringement, legal requirements, security risks, or violations of these Terms.

• violate applicable law;
• infringe intellectual property or other rights of another person;
• import, upload, store, or use content that you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to access another user's account or private content without authorization;
• interfere with the operation or security of the service;
• circumvent authentication or security controls;
• introduce malicious software or intentionally harmful content; or
• abuse, disrupt, or intentionally overload the service or its infrastructure.

9. Recipes, Food Safety and Information

We Cook is a technology and information-management service. It is not a professional culinary, medical, nutritional, allergy, food-safety, or dietary advisory service.

Recipe information may originate from users, sources selected by users, automated extraction, AI systems, third-party integrations, or combinations of these sources.

We Cook does not independently verify every recipe, ingredient, quantity, instruction, cooking time, temperature, allergen, nutritional statement, or other piece of information.

You are responsible for reviewing information before relying on it and for determining whether a recipe, ingredient, preparation method, storage method, cooking temperature, or food is appropriate and safe for you and the people for whom you cook.

10. Service Availability

We Cook is provided on an "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, permanent, secure, or error-free availability.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves.

Users remain responsible for maintaining independent copies of content they consider important.

11. Account Termination and Deletion

You may request deletion of your We Cook account through the support page.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing the request.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of serious or repeated violations of these Terms, security risks, abuse, infringement claims, or legal requirements.

The handling of personal information following account deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual Property of We Cook

The We Cook service, including its software, branding, design, interfaces, and materials provided by We Cook, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of the We Cook service, software, trademarks, branding, or other We Cook intellectual property.

13. No Editorial or Ownership Responsibility for User Content

We Cook primarily provides technological tools for storing, structuring, organizing, retrieving, and processing information selected or provided by users.

Except where expressly stated otherwise, We Cook does not act as the author, owner, or rights holder of user-provided or user-imported content.

We Cook does not independently verify that every item of content processed through the service is accurate, lawful, original, properly licensed, safe, or free of third-party rights.

We Cook may nevertheless investigate, restrict access to, or remove content when we become aware of a credible infringement claim, violation of these Terms, or applicable legal requirement.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, We Cook is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We make no warranty that content stored, imported, processed, generated, retrieved, transformed, or displayed through We Cook will be accurate, complete, lawful, safe, original, non-infringing, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Automated extraction, AI systems, and third-party integrations may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unexpected results.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, We Cook and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising from or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service.

This includes, to the extent permitted by law, losses or claims arising from user-selected content, imported content, uploaded images, third-party sources, third-party services, automated extraction, AI processing, reliance on recipe information, or infringement resulting from content selected, supplied, uploaded, or imported by a user.

You remain responsible for the content you choose to process through We Cook, the sources you select, the instructions you give to the service, and your use of information obtained through We Cook.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as We Cook evolves or as legal requirements change.

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
